A new addition to our collection of letterboxes in MA. This one in
Uxbridge, MA.
http://www.whiteblazes.com/lbna/bonsai.html
A Single Letterbox is located in the Blackstone River Valley. This
industrial area extends from Worcester to Providence. A proposed bikepath
is in the early stages, so it will be possible to have a complete offroad
bike trail this whole distance in some time. This particular area of
Blackstone river contains many reminants of the Industrial revolution
prior to the advent of the Steam engine. Here a canal system was devised
to transport raw materials and supplies to the surrounding factories,
namely the Stanley Wollen Mill.
It should be noted that we highly recommend stopping by the visitor's
center at the River Bend Farm. There you can pick up numerous amounts of
literature on the State Parks in MA, and a self guided tour of the 3.8
mile trail. Another nice caveat is that there is also a stamp next to the
Vistors log book inside the Center.
